Fee for Doctorate Education in Germany

Doctoral programs at all public universities in Germany remain free for all students, regardless of nationality. The length of a standard doctoral program is three years. If this period is extended, you may have to pay a fee.

As with all levels of study in Germany, doctoral students pay between 150 € and 200 € per semester for administration and other costs.
